Parents Page

Parents are the most important people in a young child’s life. We want to work in partnership with parents and carers to enhance and support their role at this very significant stage of development for children.

We encourage parents to be aware of our aims, policies and procedures. We have an open door policy where parents are encouraged to share information with staff and staff will share information about their children’s development with parents.
Pre-School2

Each child is assigned a member of staff (a key worker), who is responsible for monitoring the child’s progress and achievements and giving feedback to parents and carers.

We encourage parents to become involved in a practical way by joining the pre-school committee and by taking part in sessions by sharing interests and skills with the children or just by simply joining in.

Parents are involved in shared record keeping about their own child, verbally, from examples of work and play and from the Journey books we keep for each child.

Feedback from parents is most welcome. A suggestions box is kept in the pre-school office for parents to use.
